Brianna Chesser BS, MPT

Bree obtained her BS in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago in 1998, and received her Master of Physical Therapy from Northwestern University Medical School in 2000. She worked as a staff physical therapist for University of Colorado Hospital providing inpatient acute care services to a diverse patient population with a variety of diagnoses including orthopedics, neurology, burns, and critical care. Brianna was a guest lecturer and lab assistant for the physical therapy programs at Regis University and the University of Colorado in Denver. She also provided in-services and training to hospital staff on proper techniques for lifting and transferring patients.

As part of the Neonatal Developmental Therapy team, Bree specialized her training in pediatrics while working in the hospital’s level III neonatal intensive care unit. In addition to direct evaluation and treatment of high-risk infants, she provided education and in-service training to resident physicians and new staff on the importance of developmentally supportive care and the role of therapy in the nursery.

Upon moving back to West Michigan, Bree was hired as a member of the Inpatient Stroke Team at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital. She provided services to patients with diagnoses including stroke, joint replacement, and amputation. Led by her passion for working with infants and children, Bree accepted a position with Holland Hospital’s pediatric program, providing outpatient therapy in the clinic and inpatient services to neonates in the Special Care Nursery. Currently, Bree provides physical therapy services for children in the Saugatuck Public School District.

Bree has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 1998 and is also a certified Clinical Instructor. She has attended numerous pediatric focused continuing education courses to further enhance her expertise and to stay current with the latest research and therapy techniques for children.

Rachel VanTimmeren DPT

Rachel received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Hope College in 2007 and obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Central Michigan University in 2010. She completed some of her clinical education in the pediatric setting with experiences in the hospital, outpatient clinic, schools and home environment.

Rachel has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and Michigan Physical Therapy Association (MPTA) as well as a member of the Section on Pediatrics since 2007.

Rachel has always had a passion for working with children and is excited to be joining the Kid At Heart Therapy team!








Charity Brondyke OTR

Charity received her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN.  She has worked as an occupational therapist for 15 years in a variety of settings including schools, inpatient and day treatment hospitals, outpatient pediatrics, and home health.   Charity has received specialized training in the areas of autism, therapeutic listening, handwriting, sensory integration, vision, and vestibular rehab.  She values being able to work with children, parents, and caregivers in their natural environments to help children achieve their maximum potential in their daily activities, play, and routines.  Charity joined the team in 2009 and is extremely excited about the multidisciplinary approach that Kid at Heart Therapy provides.







Jennifer Rewa OT/L

Jennifer Rewa is an Occupational Therapist who obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University. Jennifer has had clinical experience working with a variety of pediatric clients. Those include clients with developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorders, fetal alcohol syndrome as well as neurodevelopmental challenges.

Jennifer has pursued continuing education in the areas of therapeutic listening, sensory processing disorders, interactive metronome, craniosacral therapy, Stanley Greenspans floortime model (DIR) and brain gym.

Jennifer is excited to be joining the Kid at Heart therapy team and looks forward to providing services for children and families within her community.




Kate Greene MA, CCC-SLP

Kate obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse in 2001. During college, she took an active role coaching for LaCrosse Area Special Olympics and was named coach of the year in 2000. Following graduation, she worked for Special Recreation Cooperatives in the Chicagoland area providing day and after-school programs for children in special education programs and continued to assist with Special Olympics programs. Kate was the Day Camp Coordinator during the summer and had the opportunity to work with many kids with various diagnoses.

In 2003, Kate returned to graduate school for her Master of Arts in Audiology and Speech Sciences. She had a variety of experiences through internships in the hospital and school environments. Kate most recently worked at Holland Hospital in the pediatric outpatient clinic. She provided services in her specialty of feeding and swallowing, as well as services for children with cochlear implants, hearing disorders, articulation and language disorders, fluency, and cognitive disorders related to traumatic brain injury. She also provided care for premature infants in the Skilled Care Nursery and Home Health services for pediatric patients. Kate has been a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association since 2006.

Kate believes providing quality therapy involves patience, compassion, and listening to the child and the parent. Kate tailors each child’s therapy plan to enhance his/ her skills while providing ideas for families to reinforce therapy goals at home. Kate is excited to be a part of the multidisciplinary team for Kid at Heart Therapy!

Jennifer Hall MA, CCC-SLP

Jenni obtained her B.S. in Speech Pathology & Audiology from Western Michigan University in 1999. She continued her studies there and received her M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology in 2001. Immediately upon graduation, Jenni began working as a speech-language pathologist at Holland Hospital. Initially her caseload consisted of only a handful of pediatric patients. However, due to her passion for the pediatric population, Jenni was one of the key players in growing Holland Hospital’s Outpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation Services. She evaluated and treated patients with numerous of medical diagnoses including speech and language disorders, CP, dysphagia, TBI, cleft palate, and various syndromes. Feeding and swallowing continues to be Jenni’s favorite area of practice. She was fundamental in designing, promoting, and providing feeding/swallowing therapy in Holland Hospital’s Special Care Nursery. She also worked with infants, toddlers, and school-aged children in the outpatient, inpatient, and home health settings focusing on oral motor, compensatory, and behavioral feeding strategies. Jenni also conducted and interpreted pediatric videofluoroscopic swallow studies.

Jenni has been a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) since 2001 and is also a current member of the Michigan Speech-Language-Hearing Association (MSHA). She has attended numerous continuing education courses to enhance her evaluation and treatment of patients. She received ASHA’s ACE Award in 2004. During her employment with Holland Hospital, Jenni supervised graduate students and Clinical Fellows.

Jenni is excited to continue to provide excellent speech/language/feeding/swallowing therapy with Kid at Heart Therapy. She strongly believes in a multidisciplinary approach and working in the child’s natural environment. Jenni is committed to working with the patient and their family to achieve their individual goals.

Krista Olszewski MS, CCC-SLP

Krista obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech, Hearing, and Language Sciences from Ohio University in 2006. She continued her education at Bowling Green State University where she obtained her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2008. Immediately after graduation, Krista relocated to Grand Rapids, Michigan where she is currently working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the schools. She has had the privilege of working with children of all ages to evaluate and treat speech and language deficits. Working in a school setting, Krista has worked with children with mild to severe speech and language deficits in conjunction with diagnoses including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Hearing Impairment, ADD & ADHD, Emotional Impairments, Developmental Delay, and others. Krista has provided services to children with articulation, language, fluency and voice disorders, pragmatic deficits, learning disabilities, and cognitive impairment/deficits.

Krista joined the Kid At Heart Therapy team in June of 2010. She is passionate about helping children grow and learn. She loves being part of a team with other professionals, children, and parents where the number one goal is to help the child reach their maximum potential.


Monique Warden MA, CCC-SLP

Monique obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Disorders from Northern Michigan University in 2005. She continued her education at Michigan State University from which she earned her Master of Arts degree in Speech Language Pathology in 2007.

She worked as a staff Speech Language Pathologist for a community hospital in Ohio servicing adult and pediatric patients in outpatient, acute, and home health settings. She has considerable experience in conducting Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies for interpretation and treatment planning.

Monique has also worked as a travel SLP where she completed assignments in various states across the country in hospitals and skilled nursing facilities treating adult and pediatric patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. She has completed specialized training in areas of pediatric oral motor deficits, adult and pediatric dysphagia, and apraxia of speech. She has been a member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association since 2007.

Monique is happy to be joining the Kid at Heart therapy team to provide quality interdisciplinary care to children and families within her community.
